We are hiring- Events Administrator (Part-Time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Events Administrator to join our team to assist in the delivery of the Multicultural Business & Community Champion Awards (MBCC Awards). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the event runs smoothly and all stakeholders, including attendees, sponsors, and vendors, are satisfied with the event.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the MBCC Awards, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, transportation, and accommodations for attendees.
  • Work with the Awards Committee to determine event logistics, schedule, and program content.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all necessary equipment and services are provided and delivered on time.
  • Manage event registration and ticket sales, including monitoring ticket sales and coordinating with the ticketing vendor.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to promote the event and ensure all marketing materials are consistent and effective.
  • Work with the Awards Committee to coordinate the judging process and communicate with nominees and winners.
  • Support social media activity, managing all social media channels according to the marketing campaign.
  • Help plan and deliver the micro events – Finalists Pre-Launch and the Winners Dinner.
  • Deliver Alumni scheme – scheduling meetings with award winners and stakeholders.
  • Work with the design agency to ensure all marketing assets are produced and put out to the public in a timely manner.
  • Provide on-site support during the event, including managing logistics and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in event admin/planning, preferably in an awards ceremony or similar event.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in event planning software and Trello.
  • Proficiency in design software – Canva
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary – £18,000 – £21,000 (Pro-Rata)
